Our travel therapists love their jobs. Find out why.
Lindsey Backes, Occupational Therapist Assistant
I am an occupational therapist assistant and have been traveling with Foundation for six months. I've loved every minute of it! After graduating from college, I wasn't sure of what and where I wanted to work, so I thought I'd try travel therapy. It was the best choice I could have made! I chose Foundation because the very first time I contacted them about traveling they quickly returned my call and answered my questions. My agent is the best. She is always there to take my calls—day and night! The best part of traveling with Foundation is that I don't have to worry about anything. I like being able to tell my agent which state I want to work in and she gets all the information and paper work for me to get started on licensing. I really like that Foundation takes care of all the details for me. Foundation lets me focus on being a successful therapist.
Anne Foldeak, Physical Therapist, DPT
I would recommend Foundation to anyone looking for a job in the healthcare industry. They helped me find a job right out of physical therapy school. My agent contacted all of the potential employers for me, got all of the benefits information and arranged for me to be flown into the area for interviews. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I could just focus on making a good impression and deciding which hospital was the best fit for me. My agent contacted my references to get their feedback and forwarded it on to the potential employers. Foundation even helped me plan my cross-country move and made sure that I got reimbursed for travel expenses. If I ever need to look for a job again, I would definitely contact Foundation.
Rose Kirby, Occupational Therapist
I am an Occupational Therapist and have had the opportunity to have the same agent for my one and a half years with Foundation, which has allowed me to create not only a close working relationship but a friendship as well.
That's a great feeling to have when working with a travel company because I know that they will always be looking out for my best interest. Everything that I have asked for, whether it be assignment locations, areas of practice, or even premium housing spots, my agent and all the great people at Foundation have provided me for me! So far, I have learned to snowboard, gone white water rafting on class five rapids, I have seen mountains and oceans that, being from North Dakota, I had never seen before, and I have met some really wonderful people at every stop! I look forward to continued travel with Foundation and the great professional and life experience that I am gaining along the way!
John Fielder, Travel Speech Language Therapist
Taking a travel position as a speech language pathologist with Foundation Rehab Staffing has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. When our last child left home, my wife and I decided that a travel position was a great opportunity for us to see the country and to decide where we might like to retire one day.
My agent has been an outstanding person with whom to work. I checked out most of the other travel companies and with Foundation I found the best blend of benefits and opportunities for me. It is so nice to come "home" to a furnished apartment or condo with housewares supplied and the utilities paid! The weekly paycheck has made budgeting really easy. During my first year of travel we have been assigned to Scottsdale, AZ; Lake Havasu City, AZ; Gig Harbor, WA; and Long Beach, WA. From these locations we have also been able to visit Las Vegas, NV; Laughlin, NV; San Diego, CA; the Grand Canyon; Sedona, AZ; Seattle, WA; and Portland, OR. We had a lot of fun in Oatman, AZ feeding carrots to the "wild" burros there!
